Job description:

The Human Resources Manager Northern Europe, will be responsible for a diverse range of HR operations including the definition and implementation of tactical and strategic HR policies, programs and projects.

 

He / she will be working with and leading other International HR and line management to put in place a common HR strategy and framework across the EMEA region.

 

The Human Resources Manager will have specific responsibility for Northern Europe; a working knowledge of Central & Eastern regions would be advantageous although key regions will be UK, Ireland, Benelux, Nordics and Baltics.

 

He / she will be reporting to the Human Resources Director EMEA and be responsible for the leadership and supervision of a 3/5 person HR team.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities are related to all countries in the Northern region, such as:

  • Supervise and lead a diverse, multicultural team of international HR professionals consisting of HR generalists, specialists, assistants and trainees across the geography.
  • Lead the implementation of a Global framework for HR policies and procedures across the region.
  • Lead the hiring strategy and advise HR and Line Management on market challenges related to company headcount. Conducts job interviews and advise Management on potential candidates and contractual policy.
  • Follow a global compensation structure, within this structure lead conversations and negotiates with candidates and employees about job offers and employment agreement matters.
  • Communicate with all relevant parties involved in job offers, letters and agreements in sync with standards and provide short and effective processes.
  • Execute the health and well being policy and is responsible for policies related to prevention, working conditions and sick leave within the organization.
  • Initiator of Business Line Management meetings and reviews.
  •  Advises Management and employees on HR policy and operational HR practises.
  • Initiate and lead HR and Management meetings with a focus on customer service to optimise/ maximise HR support to the business.
  • Key relationships:  EMEA team, EMEA HR organisation /HR Director WW, VP’s, Directors and Managers within the EMEA business. Compensation and Benefits Managers, Chicago HQ – External/ internal recruitment partners & candidates.

Their software can be found in most vehicle navigation systems, personal devices, location based applications, internet, wireless, fleet management and geographic information systems.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years HR management experience across Northern Europe.
  • 3-5+ years experience of Managing and leading a pan-European HR team
  • Degree or Masters Degree with a specialisation in Human Resources.
