We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled HR Information Systems Manager. The HR Information Systems Manager, develops, implements, tests and supports company-wide HR Information Systems and their related documentation and business processes within the Euopean operating Companies. The candidate will report to the VP Compensation & Benefits / HRIS.
Job Description- Works with business partners to define HR reporting requirements. Develops high quality reporting using a wide variety of tools (PeopleSoft Query, Crystal, Access, etc).
- Daily administration of PeopleSoft HR (Payroll) system and future Staples portal, including system table maintenance, directory requests in support of Global deployment.
- Daily administration of PeopleSoft HCM security in support of Global user base.
- Ensure efficient and effective HR reporting, by creating, maintaining and delivering reports, both periodic as on a ad-hoc basis.
- Review and analyze application functionally to identify bugs fixes and process enhancements;
- Analyzes and evaluates user needs for services and, if appropriate, develops, implements, and executes recommendations.
- Analyzes control strengths and weaknesses and identifies control needs with Finance, IT, HR and users of PeopleSoft.
- Participates in all phases of system implementation, including testing, usability and user acceptance. Develops and executes detailed test plans in support of system development.
- Documents system processes and procedures for end users.
- Develops and delivers end user training on new HR technology.
- Develops and maintains the user-defined data dictionary, develops, loads and populates screens, fields; develops programming logic for complex calculations, table files, history tables, security key design and other related information.
- Provides technical expertise and direction for a variety of professional human resources management system projects and studies.
- Provides back up support for the execution of production interfaces and distribution of production reporting.
- Provides technical support to Human Resources and business partners.
- Responds to inquiries to analyze data extracted from the HRIS from other departments and Human Resources department.
- Determines priority and feasibility for implementation of changes; validates and tests programs/calculations.
- Recommends, develops, and implements improvements to current system.
- Stays abreast of HR technology trends and practices.
Job Requirements- Bachelor/ Master's degree with at least three years hands on experience implementing or supporting a Global PeopleSoft HCM portfolio, which includes European Payroll Systems, Benefits Administration, Stock Administration, Time and Labour, Employee and Manager Self Service, Talent Management, Workflow, Query and Security.
- Experience with Portal technologies (such as BEA Aqua logic, Web sphere Portal, PeopleSoft/Oracle Portal, SharePoint).
- Good knowledge of principles and practices of user applications including controls, terminology, software design and programming.
- Knowledge of basic principles of general, hr and payroll accounting and reporting methods and procedures.
- Proven facilitation skills and the ability to drive consensus among key stake holders
- Proven experience with project life cycle methodologies, project management frameworks with specific experience leading requirements definition processes
- Good knowledge of basic principles of personnel administration.
- Fluent in English both orally and in writing is a must; any additional language is an asset.
- Intercultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Familiar with web usability standards.
- Willing to travel 10%-20%.
