Job description:

Please only apply for this position if you have 4-5 years of proven experience in a Senior Buying position.

This position is responsible for the processing of purchasing requisitions received from company affiliates and conversion, through a bidding procedure to firm order or purchase options at best possible prices and deliveries, within technical specifications and company rules and regulations.
This position reports to the Purchasing Supervisor.

Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the purchase of equipment, spare parts, electrical and instrumentation, chemicals and services at the most economic prices and best deliveries in accordance with technical specifications.
Recommends and assists in the registration and maintenance of a list of potential competitive bidders based on experience gained in bidding procedures and regular reviews of the European market and contacts with the major European vendors.
Evaluate bids received against RFQ's and makes commercial recommendations and secures required technical approvals of recommended (bids).
Conduct order award negotiations after all required approvals have been obtained to ensure efficient and timely execution of the purchase order.

Required skills and experience:
Technical education at HBO level or equivalent years of experience in a similar job in industry related environment.
General knowledge of the purchasing processes.
Pro-active attitude.
Experience with SAP and MS Office (Word/Excel).
Fluent in spoken and written languages: English and Spanish.
